gonk ass thing to do on a motorcycle. she's already run over one person, running over your motorcycle to get away is not that big a step from there.
Gonk? From cyberpunk?
Chooms gonna choom
you said it u/buttplug-tester
u/buttplug-tester is just callin’ ‘em like they sees ‘em.
Is there any other type of gonk, choom? Not very preem.
I was thinking a GSK-Series power Droid
gonk
Yeah he's got it on camera. Driver is already going to be legally toasted.
More productive (and safer) at that point to stick around, make sure grandpa is OK, then hand the footage to the cops
other rider had the grandpa. that's why he chased
Driver is already going to be legally toasted.
I'd be shocked if she got even a few months
The law lets drivers do damn near anything
You’re right, but less so for hit and runs
Well, the video doesn't show the driver until the chase. The driver could leave the car somewhere, go home, and report it stolen, so the "hit-and-run" was done by someone who knows... and they get their recovered vehicle back.
Felony to leave scene of a crime i believe but sure whatever you need to tell yourself
You're absolutely right but I also agree with the biker cause I'd want to make sure the old man got justice cause f**k that selfish lady
Redditors are too spineless to stick up for anyone. More news at 11.
“but it’s risky!!!” Shut up dude.
Redditors are fucking petrified of doing anything more dangerous than clicking a mouse or playing with a controller. I've never been involved in a more cowardly group of people in my life.
You forget the other usual reddit comments:
I would absolutely take that chance to help someone else. How pathetic does a person have to be to just watch others get hurt and do nothing?
You need Gonks to enforce rules for the dumber gonks
What the biker did is so dangerous, glad he didn't get hurt
Anger will make you do some crazy shiat.
At lease it was a righteous anger but yeah.
Yeah, I can attest to this. I was behind a drunk driver. Called 911 and followed her. I'm pretty sure her intention was to turn onto the highway, but she missed the turn. She pulled into a parking lot and then into a corner space, so I parked behind her so she couldn't leave. Cops showed up within a couple of minutes, but in hindsight it was so fucking stupid of me to block her in. She could've attacked my car or if she had a weapon.. I'm just glad she was too inebriated to even really get out of the car. She tried to at one point, then gave up and just sat there.
So grateful that no one got hurt, but I will never do something so reckless again.
I know its stupid, but you seriously might have saved a life.
Adrenaline kicks in and suddenly people stop thinking about the consequences.
OMG it will. My husband and I once saw some dude nearly mow down two women in a crosswalk and take off. We shared a glance, were of one pissed-off mind and I punched it and chased them down. Husband hopped out to explain pedestrian right of way to them.
They were confrontational - until we threatened the car. Them the driver started bleating that it was his grandma’s.
Or others. She obviously didn't care about hitting people. Plate number and help the guy. I know it was probably a split second reaction and he went with it. But she had no intentions of NOT hitting others lol.
Getting a plate number then letting them go is not the best solution if you can prevent it. What if the car was stolen?
Also can't prove who the driver was even if it wasn't actually stolen. Maybe it was her, or her husband, or a kid, or it was "Stolen" and abandoned and later found by the cops and returned.
So if you see someone drunk getting in their car, you would do nothing to stop that?
Example: many years ago I was walked down to the corner store to get some drinks. There was a fireman’s carnival going on up the road. While I was in the store a drunk man was finishing buying stuff. Literally falling over and stumbling, reeked of booze too. He went out to get in his truck. I offered to drive him home and then I would walk. My family was literally at that carnival a block up the road. The man refused, so I yoinked his keys. He called the cops, and he got arrested when they saw the condition he was in.
Now in your mind, I did the wrong thing because I shouldn’t have even got involved. I should have let an obviously intoxicated guy drive on the road with people walking around going to a street carnival.

Hell yea.
We need more people like this.
Homeboy didn't even really need to chase her; he's got her license plate on his camera.
Nope you need a picture of the driver too, license plate isn't always enough especially with all the fake tags people run these days. They can claim someone else was driving their vehicle.
When he pulled up next to her he had a good shot of her face which may have been enough.
he got a couple of good shots of her face.
he also got her fleeing from him again after he told her what she did... which means any hope of "I didnt see him or know I hit him!" is totally gone out the window...
Homie can't review the video of what he got or didn't get. He went after the skank and made sure. Dude is a hero.
Yep. You are correct. I was a victim of a hit and run. My car was t-boned in an intersection after they ran a red light. They missed my door by inches. I would've been dead...For a second just before the hit, I really thought I was about to die. The next thing I heard was the truck burning rubber to run away. I walked away somehow.
They got away with it because the driver was never caught on camera.
Talk about the legality of it all you want, but that dude did a good thing. Could something have gone sideways there? Absolutely. But as it happened, great work.
I was worried someone was going to think he was attacking the lady and intervene.
Especially with how easily people jump to conclusions when they only see half the situation.
It's a 360cam
For those about to ask 😉
Good on this guy! 👍

Yeah. She deserves jail for that
At least she won’t get a ticket for failing to signal!
Good for him, but I would not do this living in Murica
Did she really think she was going to be able to outrun a motorcycle?
Do you think she really thinks at all?
The rest of you commenters saying he was stupid, I would never expect any of you to do the right thing. He was brave for what he did and I was cheering him on. Yeah, he could've gotten ran over but he did it to make her pay for what she did. She wouldn't have been running if she knew she didn't do anything wrong. Evil ass woman. Brave man.
No ending to this?
This woman is such an @sshole wtf!!!
